The countdown to New Year’s Eve is on. Here are London’s top spots for celebration this 31st December.

Three… two… one… The countdown to New Year’s Eve is on. There are so many ways to ring in 2026. And the Big Smoke certainly spoils you for choice on how to celebrate in style (if you’re not wondering where to watch the NYE fireworks in Hong Kong or how to spend the perfect NYE in Aspen, that is). To make your choice easier, we’ve rounded up London’s most stylish spots for celebration this 31st December.

Il Gattopardo

Best for: living la dolce vita.

We were first through the doors of Il Gattopardo when it opened, and we’ll be last out for its New Year’s Eve party this 31st December. Sure, you could ease into the night with the early sitting. But the main event from 8pm serves up truffled hand-dived scallops, poached lobster with lobster-loaded courgette flowers, Frisona beef fillet in a Barolo reduction, and more. Don’t forget to upgrade with a bottle of Dom Pérignon, too. As midnight nears, drift up to the Terrazza for live music and celebrations. Cheers.

Dovetale

Best for: going back to the golden age.

Comforting food, candlelit tables, and a celebratory golden-age ambience is the vibe at Dovetale this 31st December. Two Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers has curated a four-course menu that features dishes such as truffled Comté brioche, citrus-cured seabass, roasted potato ravioli with ceps, English Wagyu sirloin, and grilled lobster tail – not to mention the moreishly chocolatey dessert. The velvety harmonies of The Wild Tonics and the nostalgic melodies of LotsDJ will carry you into 2026 – only stopping for your Champagne toast at midnight, obviously.

La Môme

Best for: Riviera-style revelry.

The final festive act of a three-chapter trilogy, La Môme London’s first ever New Year’s Eve dinner wraps up the year in true French Riviera form. Open its ruby-red menu to choose your five à la carte courses – from citrus-buttered king crab to a show-stopping surf and turf to eggnog mousse and gingerbread ice cream – and dress to fit in with a crowd that wouldn’t feel out of place at Cannes Film Festival. Bonne année

Inca

Best for: Wagyu lovers.

From the immersive, high-octane performances to the indulgent, decadent dishes, INCA’s Midnight in Medellín party is not a subtle affair – in the best way. It’s known for its Wagyu, so expect to spot A5 Wagyu sando with caviar and charcoal-grilled Wagyu picanha on the menu, alongside dishes like octopus tiradito and lucuma crème brûlée. It’s a fun feast perfect for parties of four, fuelled by a bottle of Dom Pérignon. Expect Inca’s trademark electric atmosphere and Latin American-inspired glamour. It’s a bold, unforgettable way to enter 2026.

Skylon

Best for: a family affair.

Parents, listen up. Are your kids old enough to enjoy a sophisticated dinner with but not too old they’re making their own plans for New Year’s Eve? Skylon’s annual party is the ideal family affair. Set inside the Royal Festival Hall on Southbank, tables in this sleek dining room overlook the Thames through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Order oysters, cheese soufflé, duck breast, and spiced poached pear tart (or don’t – there’s plenty more choice). In your ears is live music from Soulfly, before a DJ-led countdown and dancing into the early hours.

Oblix

Best for: dramatic views from the tallest building in London.

The 32nd floor of The Shard is a tale of two Oblixes on NYE: Oblix West and Oblix East. At the former, you’ll find fine dining tasting menus of its most celebrated dishes – think oysters, caviar, roasted lobster, and Wagyu rib-eye – in two sittings. Top tip: upgrade to window seating for front-row seats to the fireworks. At the latter, expect a party-first setting with roaming canapés, Champagne, DJs, and skyline views till 3am. Whichever you choose, expect drama (the good kind) and an adults-only crowd that’s dressed to impress.

Nela

Best for: midnight snacks and party favours.

Open-fire restaurants in London have been trending for some time now. But Nela is the latest opening to add fuel to this particular fire. On NYE, the early sitting sees diners munch their way through the restaurant’s à la carte offering, whilst the late sitting features a specially curated five-course feast. But we’re most interested in the last-night treats that will do the rounds from 1am onwards: burgers, fries, mini ice cream cones… Yum. Just what you need to fuel the dancing and final countdown to 2026.

Bar des Prés

Best for: French fine dining.

France’s favourite chef, Cyril Lignac, has whipped up two special menus at Mayfair’s Bar des Prés this New Year’s Eve. If king crab curry rémoulade, A4 Kagoshima Wagyu fillet, and Cyril’s signature Équinoxe dessert sound up your street, opt for the early sitting. If a glass of Dom Pérignon and sea bream with Oscietra caviar get your tastebuds tingling, the late sitting is the one for you. After you’re suitably stuffed with the finest of French dining, continue the celebrations in The Lounge with DJs and cocktails.

The George

Best for: an Irish trad band and great Guinness.

If your perfect NYE involves Guinness over Champagne, hearty pub grub over fussy fine dining, and a proper singalong over a DJ set, The George has you covered. This is pub celebrating at its best, with a live Irish trad band till 2am and a crowd that’s more about atmosphere than airs and graces. Arrive early to dine à la carte – from turkey keema toasties to The George Dog loaded with Ogleshield cheese – for free entry, or roll in later with a paid-for ticket and bubbles at midnight.

COYA Mayfair

Best for: bottomless pisco pours post 11pm.

All that glitters is COYA. Especially this New Year’s Eve, when the townhouse will transform into a world of golden, glittery grandeur. There are three experiences to choose between – foodie families should go for the early Golden Hour sitting, late-night partiers should go for the Pisco Bar Experience, and those who want to go all-in should go for the Golden Incan Celebration.

Amazónico London

Best for: a Rio Carnival-inspired celebration.

If you’ve never spent 48 hours at Rio Carnival, don’t worry. Amazónico will give you a taste for one night only with its Tropicália party paradise on NYE, filled with colourful feather-clad dancers, sparkling installations, flashing lights, samba drummers, and electrifying live Latin bands. The night starts with a sharing-style menu of its signature dishes and ends with internationally acclaimed DJ duo GROSSOMODDO on the decks. If the House-Latin-Afro-Beat fusion isn’t enough to fuel your fire, it’s an open bar from 11pm, when the celebrations ramp up until midnight (and beyond).

Ambassadors Clubhouse

Best for: indulgent Indian dining.

One of Mayfair’s best Indian restaurants, Ambassadors Clubhouse is hosting some royal-inspired revelry on the 31st. For the full shebang, start with its lavish four-course New Year’s Eve feast, where festive flavours meet Indian artistry. Order the Patiala Peg for some tableside theatrics – it’s performatively poured from a five-litre bottle in honour of the Maharaja of Patiala. You’ll be tempted to overindulge, but don’t get too sluggish because you’ll want to dance the night away at AMBASSY, where four of London’s most distinctive late-night selectors take you into 2026.

Upstairs at Langan’s

Best for: The Godfather fans.

We’re gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse… A New Year’s Eve to remember at Upstairs at Langan’s. This year’s bash – A Havana Affair – transforms the space into a The Godfather-inspired Havana hideaway. Guests in tuxedos and cocktail dresses will channel the golden age of Cuban glamour as they dance to the sounds of a double DJ set and live horn duo till 2am. It’ll be shimmery, smoky, and sophisticated. Oh, and a hint of rebellion is encouraged…

Duck & Waffle

Best for: a 24-hour celebration (no, seriously).

This sky-high spot is always in 24-hour mode, but on New Year’s Eve (and Day), they’re upping the ante. The celebrations run from sunset to sunrise to sunset to… you get the idea. Things kick off on the 31st with a four-course dinner, continue with a bar party, and “end” with a late-night after-party until 3am. If you’re still up for it (literally), see in the first sunrise of 2026 with the sunrise à la carte breakfast and brunch on the 1st, featuring the iconic duck waffle, of course.

The MAINE Mayfair

Best for: an adults-only cabaret experience.

Up for some mischief this NYE? Head to The MAINE, where its usual New England-inspired decadence is dialled up to full-on debauchery. For dinner, you’ll take a seat under The Brasserie’s larger-than-life chandelier and dine on the à la carte menu (it’s one of our favourite restaurants for oysters in London, so those are always our top pick). From 6:30pm, expect to be entertained with live music and a surprise burlesque performance. Then, when the clock strikes twelve, the party continues in The Powder Room, where DJs spin until 3am.

JOIA

Best for: Portuguese small plates.

JOIA’s 15th-floor pastel playground becomes a dazzling dreamland for its All That Glitters party on NYE. Both time slots see you work your way through a selection of chef Henrique Sá Pessoa’s Portuguese favourite small plates – but only the later sitting includes a glass of bubbles and grants you that all-important access to Pérola, where live performers and DJs keep the atmosphere alive until midnight. Heads up: rooftop access is an extra £50 per person, but a must if you want to see the fireworks against Battersea Power Station’s towering turbines.

Los Mochis London City

Best for: award-winning fusion dining.

Los Mochis is leaning into its Mexican-Japanese heritage with its Midnight in Tulum party. The night starts inside with its award-winning fusion food, before seamlessly transitioning out to the terrace, where guest DJ Jordi Ruz sets the mood with house music as the mezcal flows. Dress like you’re heading to one of the Riviera Maya’s most glamorous parties (just chuck a faux fur over the top to fight London’s inevitable chill). Whilst the rooftop restaurant’s greenhouse-style design offers 360-degree views, book a VIP table to secure the best spot.

Bagatelle

Best for: an immersive and scandalous experience.

The Mayfair Affair: A Night of Jazz, Champagne & Sin might just be Bagatelle’s most decadent party yet. It’s a New Year’s Eve celebration that slips you straight into a 1920s speakeasy from 7:30pm till late. Expect a hidden entrance, Art Deco decadence, live jazz that swings past midnight, and Champagne poured like contraband. If you’re here, expect to fully commit to the fantasy, as the flappers, gangsters, and rebels take over Dover Street. As the clock strikes twelve, the room erupts into a bold, beautiful toast to 2026.

Madera at Treehouse Hotel

Best for: fire breathers.

Madera’s adding fuel to the fire this New Year’s Eve – in a good way, of course. Expect live fire breathers keeping you entertained as you dine on a six-course menu and drink its signature cocktails. The flavours are bold: black bean tostadas with avocado and nopales, squash-blossom quesadillas, butter-poached lobster and guinea fowl. As a rooftop restaurant, you’ll have the city’s skyline as your backdrop whilst you drink and dance your night away.

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, Mayfair

Best for: the most Michelin-starred celebration.

From chocolate shops to Christmas Day dining, Alain Ducasse does it all. And NYE is no different. In fact, his eponymous three-Michelin-starred restaurant at The Dorchester is spoiling us with two sittings on the 31st. The early dinner glides through five courses of Jean-Philippe Blondet’s French-leaning finesse – all before 8.30pm. The late dinner sees seven courses with pitch-perfect wine pairings, and a special midnight toast in one of the city’s most elegant dining rooms. Expect a dressed-up crowd, crisp service, and plates that look almost too pretty to touch.

alainducasse-dorchester.com | £340 (early), £700 (late) per person
Elegant restaurant interior with round tables covered in white tablecloths, dark chairs, and a dramatic curved wall featuring shimmering strings or beads, softly lit to create a luxurious atmosphere.
A chef in a white uniform and hat carefully plates food in a dimly lit restaurant kitchen, while another person assists beside him, partially out of view behind a counter.
53 Park Ln, W1K 1QA

Bacchanalia, Mayfair

Best for: a party the Romans would be proud of.

If marble gods, celestial ceilings, and a crowd who came to party sounds like the kind of unsubtle scene you’re after this year, then book The Bacchus Ball. You’ll kick things off with a complimentary cocktail at Apollo’s Muse. Then, the Dom Pérignon, Château d'Esclans, and Belvedere start flowing. That’s when you’ll head downstairs for a feast set to live opera, electro-classical violin, and a DJ who knows when to turn things up. After dinner, it’s all about Apollo’s Muse again until 3am. It’s high-octane, decadent, and very Bacchic.

bacchanalia.co.uk| From £100 per person
A crowded, opulent nightclub with golden lighting, ornate statues, and a decorated ceiling. People are socializing, some holding drinks, under dramatic beams of light. The atmosphere is lively and elegant.
Luxurious bar interior with ornate decor, a long marble counter lined with plush, upholstered stools, small tables with lamps, golden accents, and warm, ambient lighting creating an elegant atmosphere.
1–3 Mount St, W1K 3NB

Kioku by Endo, Westminster

Best for: a triple threat of great food, entertainment, and views.

Perched in an OWO turret (undoubtedly one of London’s most beautiful private dining rooms, by the way) with wraparound views of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the London Eye, it’s like Kioku by Endo was made for NYE. The 5:30pm sitting serves a set menu, with the option to continue in Kioku Sake Bar (and secure exclusive terrace access for the fireworks). The 8:30pm sitting is the full works, with a welcome drink, curated dishes, a live DJ, and that all-important terrace access at midnight as London lights up below.

kiokubyendo.com | From £275 per person
A warmly lit entrance with wooden double doors opens to a bar area. A sign above reads Kioku Bar, and golden curtains frame a potted plant with bottles displayed on shelves in the background.
A white textured plate holds a gourmet dish of creamy, golden risotto garnished with small pieces of fish, purple microgreens, and herbs, presented on a light wooden table.
57 Whitehall, SW1A 2BX

Pavyllon London, Mayfair

Best for: counter-top dining for serious foodies.

If food sparks more excitement in you than fireworks, Pavyllon is the place to be this NYE. The special six-course menu (by none other than 17-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno) stars king crab glazed with Andean sage cream, that fan-favourite Wagyu mille-feuille, and a literal golden sphere of a dessert – all paired with live entertainment and a midnight toast, of course. We know… it’s one of London’s best French restaurants for a reason. Our top tip? Snap up a kitchen counter seat for a front row seat to the culinary action.

pavyllonlondon.com | From £395 per person
A chef in a tall white hat works in an upscale, modern restaurant kitchen, with a long wooden counter set with glasses and silverware, and warm ambient lighting.
A yellow cocktail with crushed ice and garnish, a tall red drink in a wine glass with ice and flowers, and tea being poured from a teapot into a glass cup on a bar counter.
Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Hamilton Place, W1J 7DR

Pantechnicon, Belgravia

Best for: a floor (three, to be exact) for every NYE vibe.

If you want options, Pantechnicon is your playground. Amélie’s Night of Noir is an elegant black-tie affair, where food and fizz flow freely. SACHI SPARKLE (on the rooftop that’s currently decked out as one of our favourite festive pop-ups in London) sees the new year in with sushi and Champagne. LUUM transforms into STUDIO 26, which – you guessed it – is a reimagining of the legendary Studio 54’s exuberance and excess. There are two seatings available at each venue, but our pick is the later slot that slips into full celebration mode.

pantechnicon.com | From £185 per person
A hand holds a spoon above a fancy chocolate dessert on a plate, with a scoop of ice cream beside it. A glass of white wine and sparkling decorative gems are on the wooden table, illuminated by bright, star-like lights.
A woman in a sparkly beige top sits at a table with a dessert topped with swirled cream, a glass of white wine, and lit candles. The scene is warmly lit, creating an elegant and festive atmosphere.
19 Motcomb St, SW1X 8LB.

The Ritz Restaurant, St. James's

Best for: all the glitz and glamour.

The Ritz. Two words that immediately spark a sense of glitz and glam. And never more so than on New Year’s Eve. Its legendary black-tie gala dinner in The Ritz Restaurant is all gilded ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and a six-course two-Michelin-starred menu served with Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque 2015. The entertainment is suitably show-stopping: a live band, 14-piece military marching band, traditional bagpiping by The Lone Piper, and countdown that fills the room with electricity. When midnight strikes, The Soul Jets keep the celebrations going into the early hours.

theritzlondon.com | £2,050 per adult, £1,000 per child
A festive ballroom scene with people in formal attire celebrating, clapping, and taking photos as yellow and orange balloons fall from the ornate ceiling decorated with chandeliers and flowers.
A brass band in red uniforms performs in a lavish, warmly lit ballroom as elegantly dressed guests sit at round tables, dining and watching the entertainment. Chandeliers and ornate decor add to the festive atmosphere.
150 Piccadilly, W1J 9BR

CÉ LA VI London, Paddington

Best for: sky-high celebrations and spirits (both kinds).

High above West London, CÉ LA VI is throwing a bash to remember (or maybe forget, if the Champagne has anything to do with it). I mean, you’re basically eye-to-eye with the London Eye. So your view for the fireworks alone is worth raising a glass to. Expect modern Asian dining, live jazz from Lucy Merrilyn, and DJs taking over as midnight nears. The vibe is in your hands: choose a five-course restaurant experience, a more relaxed lounge evening, or a standing ticket that puts you in the heart of the action.

ldn.celavi.com | From £150 per person
A dimly lit upscale dining room with a long wooden table set for a meal, surrounded by red and cane chairs, large windows showing a city view at night, and plants adding a cozy ambiance.
Elegant restaurant with set tables and warm lighting, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that reveal a city skyline at dusk, including illuminated skyscrapers and the London Eye in the distance.
1 Paddington Sq, W2 1DL

Woods' Silver Fleet, Tower Bridge Quay

Best for: celebrating whilst supporting charitable causes.

Sail into 2026 in style aboard the Silver Sturgeon river yacht, dressed as a candlelit winter wonderland with sculptural displays and faux-fur touches. This adults-only experience starts with the clinking of Veuve Clicquot, before a hyper-seasonal three-course dinner by Marcus Cunningham, and dancing to a DJ set. When Big Ben chimes midnight, the fireworks start to boom, providing a picture-perfect backdrop as you cruise beneath London’s best bridges. The best part? It blends glamour with giving back, with your attendance supporting charitable causes.

silverfleet.co.uk | £630 per person
A lit candle in a glass holder sits on a table next to a cocktail in a coupe glass, garnished with herbs. In the background, water reflects purple and blue lights.
Big Ben clock tower at night with bright fireworks exploding around it and the London Eye visible in the background. The sky is filled with colorful sparks and trails of light.
Tower Bridge Quay

CLAP London, Knightsbridge

Best for: the city’s brightest and boldest celebration.

Some winter wonderlands are covered in frost, some neon. CLAP is going all-in with the latter with its Midnight in Tokyo event, inspired by the Japanese capital’s electric nightlife. Its slick dining room is dialling things up to neon-bright levels with bold visuals and DJ sets that build until the small hours. There’s a two-hour early dinner for families, whilst the late sitting pairs a set menu dinner that turns into dancing all night long. The dress code is electric glam. Do with that what you will.

claprestaurant.com | From £150 per person
A rooftop terrace with a wooden table, wicker chairs, and small candle holders overlooks a cityscape at sunset with historic and modern buildings under a partly cloudy sky.
Five pieces of thinly sliced raw beef rolled with garnish, topped with small rounds and a dollop of black caviar, served on a textured ceramic plate with sauce, on a wooden table.
12–14 Basil St, SW3 1AJ

Sky Garden, The City

Best for: a front-row seat for the fireworks.

The in-the-know crowd comes to Skye Garden on NYE for the skyline as much as the Champagne. So it’s where you book when you want the fireworks front and centre. But, with party-only access, three dinging packages, and early and late sittings at each, there’s more to it than just incredible views. Expect fine dining at Fenchurch, seasonal dishes at Darwin Brasserie, and Italian classics at Larch. After dinner, drift up to the party floor where the dancing starts, driven by beats from resident DJs and the Brooklyn Shakers.

skygarden.london | From £215 per person
Three different cocktails on a black table with a hand holding a champagne flute, surrounded by snacks, breadsticks, and a Moët & Chandon champagne bucket in the background.
A festive bar decorated with garlands, lights, and ornaments, featuring Moët & Chandon branding. Bottles of Moët champagne are displayed on shelves behind the bar, creating a holiday atmosphere.
1 Sky Garden Walk, EC3M 8AF

The Savoy, Strand

Best for: a child-friendly celebration.

The Savoy steps back into its glittering 1920s heyday for a one-night-only gala filled with Champagne, live jazz, and theatrical surprises. Begins with bubbles and small bites, before a six-course dinner by the hotel’s culinary team. Art Deco glamour sets the scene as performers pop up throughout the night, building towards a midnight toast overlooking the River Thames and the city's world-famous fireworks. Little ones aren’t forgotten here, with bespoke menus at Gallery and thoughtful touches throughout. Black tie or – to fully embrace the immersive Roaring Twenties theme – period-inspired dress is encouraged.

thesavoylondon.com | £1,395 per adult, children POA

The Winter Garden Restaurant at The Landmark, Marylebone

Best for: an atmosphere that’s refined and a setting that wows.

Picture this: you glide in between the two towering palm trees that welcome you into The Winter Garden Restaurant at The Landmark. As you settle into your seat beneath the iconic sky-high see-through ceiling, you’re poured a chilled glass of Taittinger Champagne. Oh, and you’re dressed to impress in black tie. That’s what A Night Beneath the Palms has in store on the 31st. Live jazz music sets the refined tone, whilst the three-course menu delivers delicious dishes, like Merryfield duck, Cornish crab ravioli, and a pistachio cheesecake worth saving room for.
