The latest wellness clubs in Singapore offer something for everyone, from intense workouts to holistic therapies to biohacking sessions.

The newest generation of wellness clubs in Singapore understand one thing: no two people's needs are alike, so their wellness solutions shouldn't be either. Featuring group biohacking sessions, cutting-edge science-based interventions, and holistic approaches that focus on mind and body, the latest wellness clubs offer novel, highly customised therapies that help you become the best version of yourself. Here are the ones to try.

COMO Shambhala Singapore

Wellness acolytes were thrilled when COMO Shambhala opened its global flagship at the new COMO Orchard last year – more than 20 years after it debuted as a yoga studio. Located in a building that also houses the COMO group's signature hotel, fashion, and dining concepts, the new COMO Shambhala is spread out over 9,000 sq ft and contains every fitness and wellness offering you could need.

These include a boutique gym, red light therapy room, yoga and pilates studios, hyperbaric devices, contrast therapy rooms with chromatherapy infrared saunas, and the Brass Monkey ice bath (a world-first 'bathtub' that makes its own ice sheets). Also available are unique facial treatments such as the COMO Shambhala Microbiome Facial, which incorporates pre- and post-biotic formulations created with Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research.

REKOOP

An intriguing concept that opened in the heart of Singapore's central business district, REKOOP bills itself as Asia's first social wellness club, aiming to foster meaningful connections via shared wellness activities. Treatments here are highly personalised, with a concierge service and biohacking therapies that span genetic profiling to nutrition optimisation as well as rejuvenating sleep techniques.

REKOOP wants its clients to integrate wellness into their everyday lives, like self-care sessions with friends or biohacking drinks with colleagues. And with its state-of-the-art wellness facilities (like a full-body cryo-chamber), luxuriously serene aesthetic of cream walls and dark wood furniture designed by Elliot James Interiors, and a lounge accommodating up to 20 guests, it looks set to do just that.

HER Wellness Club

Led by a mother-and-daughter team – one a trained Pilates instructor and the other a retired executive – Her Wellness Club (HER) is a members-only club exclusively designed for women. Located just off Orchard Road (Singapore's central shopping belt), the club specialises in individual and group Pilates classes tailored for women at every life stage – a unique approach that's quickly evident from creatively-named classes like 'PMS Pilates' and 'Movement for Menopause'

It also offers evidence-based mindfulness coaching, guided meditation classes, life and career coaching, nutrition consultations, and an on-site private kitchen serving delicious, balanced breakfasts and lunches five days a week. In short, it has everything you could possibly need to become a healthier and more self-actualised woman – inside and out.

Soma Haus

Modern life can be inherently stressful – and Soma Haus aims to help its clients handle it more gracefully and efficiently. It's also particularly welcoming for those new to the wellness world who might feel overwhelmed by the plethora of available treatments. It recommends that beginners start with a nervous system consultation to understand their particular condition and how to move it from stress to calm and focus.

Soma Haus is also a good option for those new to ice baths – you can opt for a guided session with its breathwork facilitator, who will teach you how to prepare your mind and body to reap the full benefits of the therapy. Meanwhile, those already familiar with wellness offerings can pick and choose from its non-invasive therapies like saunas, ice baths, flotation devices, and lymphatic compression trousers.

Trapeze Rec. Club

Founded by GJ Wee, the scion of a prominent Singaporean banking family (and who also happens to be a competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter), Trapeze Rec. Club was created to fill what Wee saw as a gap in the market for a 'one-stop shop' that holistically addressed its clients' mental and physical needs. Spread out over four floors of a heritage shophouse in bustling lifestyle hub Tanjong Pagar, the club offers all the facilities one might expect – like yoga, a fully-outfitted gym, an on-site cafe serving nutritious bites like açai bowls and smoothies, and more.

It also offers a variety of professional fighter-led martial arts classes like Muay Thai, Gi & No Gi BJJ (forms of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and wrestling. Other offerings include personalised physio and wellness services like shockwave therapy, a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic, and a team of trained therapists who are skilled in addressing concerns like trauma support, eating disorders, and life transitions.
