From contrast therapy to transformative treatments, London’s wellness scene is wonderfully varied. And when the 14th of February rolls around every year, it doesn’t fail to make hearts flutter with its luxury treatments tailored for two. So, to help you really ramp up the romance, we’ve rounded up London’s most romantic spa experiences for couples to book this Valentine’s Day. Just call us cupid.

Guerlain Spa at Raffles London at The OWO

Best for: debriefing over afternoon tea afterwards.

The spa…

This is a spa above the rest. It’s below Raffles London at The OWO, after all. Firstly, no expense has been spared in this low-lit, low-contrast space. A space that feels like a warm hug (and not just thanks to your plush robe and padded slippers). Secondly, privacy is paramount – from the carefully controlled visitor numbers to the secret nooks and crannies to curl up in. When you’re here, London feels like a million miles away. In short: this is the type of spa you want to revisit again and again and again.

The experience…

Book the ‘decadent escape for two at The OWO’ full-day experience, which begins with access to the world-class pool and thermal facilities, before a bath ritual and anti-ageing facial. Be warned: as you sink into your heated treatment bed, you’ll be tempted to drift off into dreamland. But you want to be awake to actively enjoy your treatment – trust us. Oh, and ask for a Guerlain sample (the Youth Watery Oil Serum is our favourite). Ease back into reality slowly by debriefing your spa day over afternoon tea in The Drawing Room.

AIRE Ancient Baths

Best for: an atmospheric ancient bathhouse experience.

The spa…

AIRE brings a bit of NYC’s modern bathhouse boom to the Big Smoke. It might dwell underground near the Strand, but it shuts out the stress of central London’s streets above entirely. It’s where candlelight flickers against exposed brick, steam hangs in the air, every turn brings something new. Inspired by ancient Roman, Greek, and Ottoman bathing rituals, this subterranean cavern is built around water: hot, cold, salt, still, swirling. It’s dimly lit, atmospheric, and inherently romantic – in a way that makes time stand still and lovers exchange lingering looks.

The experience…

Book the ‘Valentine’s Day Experience 60’. But don’t be fooled by its name – this limited-edition ritual lasts a generous 135 minutes. It’s equal to any experience you’d expect from London’s best spa hotels, but in a refreshingly different atmosphere – one that adds a whole new level of zen. It begins with a 60-minute massage using floral oils and hot basalt stones, followed by hydrating eye patches and a nourishing hair mask. Then comes full access to AIRE’s candlelit thermal baths, plus chocolate treats and a glass of something sparkling. Love really is in the AIRE.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair

Best for: uninterrupted private time as a pair.

The spa…

Expect sleek interiors and state-of-the-art facilities at this urban sanctuary tucked beneath Hanover Square. The 25-metre rectangular indoor swimming pool – one of London’s longest – is firefly lit. Which looks exactly how it sounds: floating white lights reflect off the ceiling, walls, and water to create an otherworldly atmosphere. Seriously, you’ll feel like you’re floating through the Milky Way. Beyond this, you’ll find three Jacuzzis, a steam room, a sauna, and vitality pools. It’s modern, very Mayfair, and has Mandarin Oriental written all over it.

The experience…

Book ‘Love Below in The Spa’ – a joint experience that’s all about shared calm. Couples can unwind side by side in a private double-treatment room during the intimate ‘Natural Time for Two’ experience, which puts uninterrupted time together first. Therapies are tailored to your needs, with a focus on restoring balance and encouraging connection. Insider tip: book a floating sound bath following your spa experience to really cement your relaxation. This new partnership series involves breathwork, meditation, crystal bowls, gongs, and more. You’ll feel like you’re floating long after it’s over.

Mayfair Spa at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane

Best for: non-stop city skyline views.

The spa…

Head in the clouds? You’ll love this spa perched high above Park Lane, where moody candlelight is traded for bright, open views across Hyde Park and the (sometimes cloudy) London skyline. From the rejuvenating vitality pool to the serene saunas to the cosy treatment rooms, every space here comes with a view that does your flirting for you. There’s something inexplicably peaceful – and romantic – about watching a city buzz far, far beneath you. It helps when you’re at a five-star hotel, in a state-of-the-art spa, of course.

The experience…

Book the ‘Exclusive Couples Sky Suite Experience’ for maximum impact. You’ll have private use of the Sky Suite, complete with a double steam shower and relaxation area, plus a welcome drink and time to unwind with a glass of Prosecco and a sweet treat. The main event is a two-hour personalised treatment, combining massage, facial and exfoliation, tailored to your individual needs. The add-ons on offer – from oxygen masks to body brushing – are very tempting, too…

The Lanesborough Club & Spa

Best for: surprising your date with special touches.

The spa…

The Lanesborough Club & Spa is a classic – in both style and substance. You’ll find it below the easterly wing of this clean, creamy, neo-classical style hotel. Behind its imposing black door, (if you’re entering via the private entrance off Grosvenor Place, that is) it’s all marble, hushed tones, and staff who just know when to appear (and disappear). And if not, there’s always the option to summon a spa butler at the press of a button in the relaxation lounge... In between treatments, saunter between the sauna, hammam, and hydrotherapy pool. Bliss.

The experience…

Book the ‘Couples Retreat’. It starts with a private Rasul (an Arabic cleansing ritual) for two, during which you paint healing, mineral-rich muds on yourself (or each other) before letting the steam do its nourishing, mineralising thing. That’s followed by a full-body massage and express facial each. You’ll even have full spa access and a two-course lunch at the Club & Spa Restaurant afterwards. As if that isn’t enough of a treat, the team here can help you truly spoil your date with added Champagne and roses. You just have to ask.

Biome by Corinthia London

Best for: visiting a shiny new spa.

The spa…

This spa has had a dark, dramatic facelift. What was once ESPA Spa is now Biome by Corinthia London – as of the end of last month, so it’s as new and shiny as it gets, really (so much so that the official photos are still under wraps). Clad in black tiles with a cave-like feel, it’s a space where nature and science meet. Here, you’ll find – deep breath – an indoor swimming pool, vitality pool, glass amphitheatre sauna, steam room, experience showers, ice fountain, heated marble loungers, sleep pods, and 17 private treatment pods.

The experience…

Book one of two BIOME Suite experiences: ‘Purify & Connect’ or ‘Soothe & Nourish’. The former involves body brushing, a Rasul experience, a Wildsmith Circadian Rhythm Massage, and relaxation time in the heat and water circuits. The latter swaps the body brushing for a full-body salt scrub and adds a Wildsmith Radical Botany Facial and a light lunch in the BIOME Lounge (with bubbles, of course) on top. The suite itself – complete with two treatment pods, a Rasul and steam shower, and bathroom – is totally private to the pair of you. Perfect.

The Bvlgari Spa

Best for: using the latest longevity tech.

The spa…

Bvlgari always goes big – and when it comes to wellness, it’s no different. Designed by ACPV Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, this spa pairs onyx, oak, and Vicenza stone with cutting-edge recovery tools – from hyperbaric oxygen therapy to dry floating. Despite the tech-forward offering, it doesn’t feel clinical. Instead, you’ll find a mosaic-lined pool surrounded by cream cabana daybeds. There’s a strong focus on rest, recovery, and longevity here. So, if your idea of the ultimate love story is living a long, healthy life together, you’re in the right place.

The experience…

Book ‘The Private Onyx Spa Suite’. Completely self-contained, it includes private changing areas, side-by-side treatment beds, a twin steam shower, relaxation space, and an oversized tub framed by striking green onyx. You’ll have time to enjoy the suite before and after your treatments, which are personalised following a consultation. Choose 60 or 120 minutes of treatments per person, and expect a seamless, quietly indulgent experience from start to finish.
