The Spa at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel

Best for: spa experiences with a sense of place.

The famous location for the film Pretty Woman, just off the high-end shops and restaurants on Rodeo Drive, now showcases a newly renovated spa, offering a trio of treatments that celebrate the famous locale. Not far from the Mediterranean pool deck area, an amethyst geode in the spa sets the tone for positive energy and stress relief.

The offerings encompass the California Radiance, a body treatment with a blend of lavender, sweet orange, geranium, and eucalyptus; the Touch of Beverly Wilshire, a facial using medical-grade skincare products; and the Beverly Hills Journey, a body treatment with three luxuriously targeted scrubs – from Dead Sea salts for the stomach to pink clay and mandarin sugar for the décolleté.

At the heart of the Sunset Strip, the former Pendry property’s top amenities remain at this urban oasis everywhere from the lobby art to the screening room. You’ll also find Wolfgang Puck’s signature restaurant, Merois, adjacent to the top floor pool and daybeds with a view of the city, plus the intimate music venue, Live at the Sun Rose, on the ground floor.

Head to this spa for the ultimate glow-up getaway. The Moon Age Daydream Facial is a nod to David Bowie and blends dermaplaning, Epicutis skincare, and a collagen mask that leaves your skin luminous. Want to go deeper? The Muscle Relief and Vibrational Massage uses therapeutic CBD with deep tissue massage to work out all the kinks.

Tomoko Spa, Beverly Hills

Best for: a Japanese day spa experience.

Completely under the radar, yet located on a busy Beverly Hills street, this hideaway is as close to a
Japanese Ryokan experience as it gets – right down to the ‘no shoes’ policy and zen vibe. Ease into the serene scene with ginger tea poured from a traditional iron tea pot in the waiting room, before an elaborate foot soak and a massage that hits all the right pressure points.

The full-body Japanese Experience couples massage uses a hot stone sake enhancement that leaves you feeling completely relaxed before the deep wooden tub soak at the end. End with a light sushi meal in your robe. Bliss.
