Breakfast might be the most important meal of the day, but brunch is the most fun. The possibilities are practically endless – you could have eggs or a burger; glug coffee or sip bottomless Champagne; kick it off at 10am or straggle in at 3pm… And Mayfair, being Mayfair, is filled with many different brunch options for every mood. So, from chic hidden cafés to all-singing, all-dancing spectacles, here’s where to get your brunch fix this weekend.

Hideaway
Yes, Ollie Dabbous’ Hide serves an excellent brunch, but we prefer the menu at his chic little café on Mount Street. The dinky spot goes big at brunchtime, serving luxurious dishes like lobster rolls, freshly baked French toast, and waffles topped with stracciatella and black truffle. Its design, too, is far from casual, with marble-topped tables, crystal chandeliers, and ornate antique displays: this is the Mayfair of Mayfair brunches.
COYA Mayfair
It’s an energetic start to the weekend at COYA. The Peruvian party restaurant is known for its DJ sets and pisco sours (read more about this in our roundup of restaurants with live entertainment), and its Saturday brunch menu serves more of the same Peruvian fusian food with a side of good vibes. So, you’ll be eating the likes of ceviche, roasted cod, and purple corn, and sipping Bloody Marias or shots of pisco punch.

Mount St Restaurant
Brunch traditionalists, look away. You won’t find any avocado on your toast at Mount St Restaurant – but you will find devilled kidneys, smoked trout, and roasted heritage tomatoes. Yes, this is a brunch inspired by the breakfasts of old, meaning you could be eating rarebit, kippers, or caviar-topped omelettes every day from 7:30am (or 8am on the weekend). Art fan? Look this way. The walls, floors, and even the ceiling of this colourful restaurant are plastered with £50m of fine art – it’s not often you can tick off brunch and an exhibition in one sitting.
Isabel
Sunday mornings are sacred – something late-night party hub Isabel knows all too well. So, naturally, its Sunday brunch starts at midday. All the classics are ready and waiting for you, including pancakes, smoked salmon muffins, and chia seed bowls, but there’s also the option to go for something more full-on. Like, a lobster roll or wagyu burger – although these are perhaps best for those who spent the night before vibing over mai tais in the Dragon Room on the floor below.

Bacchanalia
To call this Roman feast a brunch is a bit of an understatement. Which is probably the first time anyone has ever described anything at Bacchanalia as understated. The decadent Sunday brunch menu follows the same ‘go big or go home’ ethos as big as the rest of restaurant, offering a huge Roman-style banquet from 12pm–4pm. You’ll be stuffing yourself with a selection of meze, then one of the main plates (we love the salt-crust sea bass), and then a final flourish of either tiramisu or profiteroles.
Café Biltmore
When swanky five-star hotel The Biltmore teams up with Veuve Clicquot, you know to expect big – and bubbly – things. Like, sipping your second frosted glass of freshly poured fizz whilst digging into a three-course brunch served on the restaurant’s leafy terrace. Its summer brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of the season and includes options like coconut pancakes or – bizarrely – a full roast chicken, and there’s the option to make the bubbles bottomless for an extra tenner.

Chucs
Ever-reliable Chucs has outposts in both Belgravia and Mayfair, with a couple of takeaway coffee shops in Kensington and Chelsea for good measure. In its Mayfair restaurant, there are just eight linen-dressed, brass-railed tables, which are often filled on weekend mornings with locals digging into granola bowls, avocado toasts, and full English breakfasts. Don’t forget to sip an Italian-inspired spritz – this restaurant is all about ‘la dolce vita’, after all.
The Colony Grill Room at The Beaumont
With a slug of gazpacho and the slurp of an oyster, The Colony Grill Room’s weekend brunch is in session. The white-tableclothed, Art Deco-inspired room is tucked in the middle of The Beaumont hotel (the one with the American and Canadian flags just around the corner from Berkeley Square), and makes a mighty fine setting for the restaurant’s transatlantic brunch (a fancy way of saying eggs on toast and pancakes). Oysters and gazpacho are, of course, on the cards, as is the hotel’s sophisticated yet laid-back service.
