London’s been bitten by the late-night bug. No, we’re not talking nightclubs, we’re talking clubstraunts or gastroclubs (pick your portmanteau). Places that give a whole new meaning to dinner party.
In an interview with Restaurant Industry magazine, Pavyllon London’s executive chef, Benjamin Ferra Y Castell, says, “In 2026, people are seeking flexibility and connection with dining experiences that bring them together. Late-night dining is making a comeback, opening up the city’s after-dark scene with some incredible offerings and special menus post-9pm.”
From low-lit, vinyl-soundtracked spots in East to speakeasy-style, subterranean dens in Central, there’s something for every midnight snacker in our list of London’s top twelve late-night restaurants right now.
In this article:
Mistress of Mayfair, St. James’s
Best for: a speakeasy-inspired affair.
Open until: 3am, Thursday–Saturday.
If you’re looking to paint the town red, keep an eye out for a crimson-coloured door at the foot of a staircase on St James’s Street. It leads to one of London’s booziest – and bougiest – late-night lounges, a scarlet lair of tasselled armchairs and velvet curtains. The brioche loaded with lobster and Marie rose is a must, as is sticking around until midnight, when it turns red hot with a DJ, Champagne-fuelled dancing, and napkins waved in the air.

Esmeralda’s, Mayfair
Best for: light bites and live soul music.
Open until: 3am, Thursday–Saturday.
Something that will be music to your ears: a six-piece soul band taking to the stage at 10pm. And to your taste buds: finger food like caviar chicken nuggets served on silver trays and a spicy marg with Ed Sheeran’s Tingly Ted’s hot sauce. Esmeralda’s operates on a strict IYKYK basis – and if you’re among those who do, you’ll know to end the evening with an electrolyte-splashed Skinny Little Thing or a teeny tiny complimentary Champagne tipple with the bill.

Bambi, London Fields
Best for: a seamless restaurant-to-dancefloor transformation.
Open until: 1am, Friday–Saturday.
Good news: London Field’s cult restaurant and record bar is now twice the size (and the fun). And it’s not just its look that’s new – new head chef Jamie Thorneycroft has rejuvenated the menu, too. It’s all so tasty (even the butter is the best we’ve ever had) the only risk is eating so much you get a stitch when the dancing starts. Speaking of which, tables are pushed aside at 11pm to make space for a vinyl-led party. Sit at the bar overlooking the DJ booth and record wall for dinner, then pick up your pickle martini and take to the dancefloor till 1am.

No. 11 at Jul’s, St. James’s
Best for: drink-led dinners.
Open until: 2am, daily.
The just-opened Jul’s in St. James’s has a late-night bar opening on 7th April that will stay open till 2am every night (it is an Ibiza import, after all): No. 11. The dining room is intentionally dark, with a massive wine wall and house music that sets the tone for a drink-led dinner (their words). Once you’ve taken your last bite, you won’t be able to resist descending into the basement where a DJ and cocktail laboratory await. No, literally, you’ll find mixologists testing new combos behind a science-lab-esque glass screen. How fun.

Dover St. Counter, Mayfair
Best for: elevated bar food.
Open until: 1:30am, Thursday–Saturday.
One of Mayfair’s best restaurants, has a more casual, and – dare we say – cooler sister spot: Dover St. Counter. Its older sibling, The Dover, is also one of our favourite martini hangouts in London. So, we would certainly sway you towards the cocktail list here, too. Expect feel-good food – from disco fries to fried chicken – and a 90s R&B and hip-hop soundtrack. The clue’s in the name, but for the avoidance of all doubt, the best seats are at the counter.

Caia, Notting Hill
Best for: a line-up of London’s finest vinyl DJs.
Open until: 1am, Friday–Saturday.
Caia is cool. Always ahead of the trends, it’s not only one of our favourite open-fire restaurants in London but also a beloved local late-night hangout. The ever-changing, Asian-inspired dishes are smoky, the wine list is easy to understand (and drink), and the vibe is soundtracked by owner Tim’s personal vinyl collection. Like we said, cool. The subterranean Green Room is where the party’s at, with vinyl DJs from 8:30pm till late. You can dine down there, too – perfect for being in the midst of the mayhem when the dancing kicks off.

Bagatelle, Mayfair
Best for: tabletop dancing.
Open until: 1am, Thursday–Saturday.
Bagatelle knows how to throw one hell of a party – and it’s not gatekept for special occasions, like New Year’s Eve in London. No, it’s every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Here, the vibe is distinctly St Tropez, with a Mediterranean menu and – most importantly – tabletop, napkin-waving dancing till the early hours. You might be mid-munch of your cuisse de canard confite or Salade Riviera as the waiters pull out the big guns: sparklers, sombreros, magnums of Champagne… You get the picture (literally – it’s a sea of iPhone flashes most nights).

Isabel Mayfair
Best for: Champagne-fuelled celebrations.
Open until: 2:30am, Monday–Saturday.
We love anywhere that oozes IYKYK energy – and the Dragon Room at Isabel Mayfair does just that. Book one of the last dinner sittings (10:45pm Monday–Wednesday, 11:15pm Thursday–Saturday) in the main restaurant, where sharing is encouraged – perfect for a night out with friends. Then, slink underground to this silk-walled lounge, where DJs spin until 2:30am almost every night. The drink of choice here is Champagne, FYI. And a piece of advice: try to play cool when you see a familiar face or two in the crowd.

Duck & Waffle, the City
Best for: sunrise to sunset skyline views.
Open until: 24 hours, every day.
We can’t write about late-night dining without mentioning its forefather: Duck & Waffle. Just switch out ‘late-night’ for ‘round-the-clock’ because, unlike most spots on this list, the menu is available 24/7. Order the signature duck and waffle (obviously) – whether it’s midnight or 6am, it just works – and add something indulgent, like foie gras crème brûlée. It’s also the only sky-high restaurant on this list, so pair that fact with its low-lit tables made for two, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a date you don’t want to end (and doesn’t have to…).

Cecconi’s Pizza Bar, Soho
Best for: sharing a slice (or two).
Open until: 2am, Friday–Saturday.
You can’t go wrong with Cecconi’s – the Soho House-owned restaurant is a cornerstone of London’s Italian dining scene. It breaks its comforting consistency only to offer up this casual offshoot in the shape of a late-night pizza bar, and we’re not mad about it. The dedicated post-11pm menu is simple but satisfying for the small hours – think trendy pizzas (in other words, thin and crispy) and fan-favourite dessert: tiramisu. Cecconi’s cult zucchini fritters obviously make an appearance, too. With cocktails and beer on tap, your drinks won’t dry up either.

Los Mochis London City
Best for: twinkling city skyline views.
Open until: 3am, Thursday–Saturday.
This city slicker is the sister restaurant to one of Notting Hill’s beloved neighbourhood restaurants: Los Mochis. It’s bigger, it’s buzzier, and it boasts a 3am close time. The late-night snack menu – served till 2:30am – is more of the Mexican-Japanese fusion food we know and love from the brand. 2am tacos? Tempting… Once you’re on the ninth floor, you’re transported to Tulum (with a touch of Tokyo). But there’s no denying you’re in Broadgate Circle when you see the swarms of bankers letting off some spreadsheet-induced steam here.

PIRAÑA, St. James’s
Best for: celeb spotting.
Open until: 1am, Tuesday–Sunday.
PIRAÑA is possibly the most old-school Mayfair nightclub-esqsue spot on this list. Ok, scrap the ‘possibly’ – definitely. It’s unapologetically flashy, and we don’t just mean the strobe lights. Champagne arrives via dancing waiters with sparklers or suspended from the ceiling in a flash of fire. Mark Morrans’s (ex-Nobu and MNKY HSE) food is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion. Expect to find a similar crowd to the Sexy Fish (which is also open till 1am Monday–Saturday, by the way). You might even spot a celeb or two, from Cole Palmer to Jason Derulo, here.
