There’s been a bloom boom in London lately, with independent florists sprouting up all over the city. Good news for green-fingered Londoners: wreath-making workshops are also growing in popularity. Whether you’re a budding amateur or a planting pro, the city's top florists are hosting expert-led courses you can book in the run-up to Christmas. So, we’ve hand-picked the masterclasses that are in the ivy league.

Claridge’s Flowers

Where: Mayfair.

Duration: 1.5 hours.

Best for: exclusivity.

We’re no strangers to securing our members a seat at exclusive events – so it makes sense that even when it comes to wreath-making workshops, we’ve ensured they get the pick of the bunch. We work with the team to host private, expert-led sessions. The duration and location of the classes are totally tailored to you – they can even be held in your own home. But two things never change: a glass of Champagne and the donning of a Claridge’s Flowers apron.

Moyses Stevens

You’ll find Moyses Stevens Flower School bang opposite Battersea Power Station. There are plenty of courses to choose from, but our eyes are on the expert-led, two-hour session with a live demo. You’ll weave decorations like pinecones and dried oranges into your wreath whilst sipping mulled wine and nibbling on mince pies – then take the fruits of your labour home to hang up. There’s also private tuition available – paired with Champagne and canapés – if you feel like branching out.
