Sometimes it takes more than a strict skincare regimen to achieve your dream glowing, plump and smooth complexion. The latest modern-day, non-invasive treatments are aptly named ‘tweakments,’ meaning they have a ‘just enough but not too much’ approach. These treatments offer incredibly natural and balanced results, usually have little to no downtime, and are most likely pain-free. Whether you’re looking to tighten loose skin on your body or you’re on the hunt for the newest facial that provides that coveted supermodel glow, these are the latest innovations in non-surgical treatments to try now.

The treatment: Filter Free Skin

Where to get it: The Clinic by Dr Maryam Zamani, SW3

It’s no secret that many of us use filters or Photoshop to tweak our photos – we love to airbrush our skin, blur out wrinkles and remove any signs of blemishes. Thanks to this new treatment created by Dr Maryam Zamani, renowned Oculoplastic Surgeon, Facial Aesthetics Doctor and Founder of MZ Skin, you’ll no longer have to edit before posting. Combining BroadBand Light, HALO Fractional laser and skin boosters, this treatment provides precisely what the name suggests – a flawless complexion that mimics the effects of your favourite skin-smoothing Instagram filters.“

“I’d recommend this for anyone who wants to treat wrinkles, sun damage, skin texture, scarring, dark circles and pigmentation,” says Dr Zamani. “BBL will be done first over 3-4 week intervals, targeting redness and pigment concerns. During the final BBL session, HALO fractional laser is done to stimulate collagen production and trigger the body’s natural healing response targeting any damage. Finally, skin boosters are added at the last appointment to help hydrate and boost the skin from within.” The downside? Your skin does appear red, swollen and sandpaper-like for up to two weeks after the treatment, but it’s seriously worth the final result.

The treatment: Profhilo® Body

Where to get it: 111 Harley St, W1

Injectables aren’t just for the face: this recently launched treatment uses the same purity hyaluronic acid as its well-known counterpart for the face. It is the only injectable specifically formulated to treat skin laxity. This brilliant body booster smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles, rehydrates and tightens loose, crepey skin and provides a burst of hydration to improve skin elasticity. It can be used on multiple body areas; whether you want firmer skin around the neck and décolletage, help to remove saggy areas around the abdomen, arms or knees, or even give your hands a more youthful appearance. It’s virtually pain-free with no downtime and, for optimum results, can be used alongside radiofrequency for a total transformation. Post-treatment, expect a soothing body patch to moisturise the skin and super-firming body cream to tone and hydrate at home.

The treatment: Potenza

Where to get it: 111 Harley St, W1

Love micro-needling? Meet Potenza: the latest treatment that knocks your regular micro-needling treatment out of the park. Combining micro-needling with radiofrequency, “Potenza creates a more effective treatment that gives quicker and better results; it gives you the flexibility to customise the treatment according to your unique skin concerns and skin type,” says Dr Yannis Alexandrides MD FACS, plastic surgeon, and founder of 111 Harley St. Whether your skin concerns are large pores, dull skin, scarring and pigmentation, loss of elasticity or active acne, this treatment targets it all. It sounds too good to be true, but it really does give flawless porcelain skin. The ideal time for this treatment? A week before a big event.

The treatment: BELOTERO Revive

Where to get it: Skinesis Medical with Dr Alexis Granite

This exciting new skin booster is not too dissimilar from Profhilo. The injectable hyaluronic acid has the added bonus of super-hydrating glycerol, which instantly improves skin texture, laxity, and moisture levels. It’s a brilliant injectable for first-timers and anyone suffering from sun damage, a rough or uneven skin texture, or dehydration. It’s a great alternative to filler as it doesn’t add volume or change the shape of the skin – instead, it adds hydration under the skin’s surface. While it does give immediate results, it helps with collagen stimulation over time. Plus, unlike other skin boosters that are only used below the skin’s surface, BELOTERO Revive can be injected at multiple levels in the skin.

The treatment: The Lip Flip

Where to get it: 111 Harley St., W1

Move over, lip fillers. The latest pout-plumping treatment has become the most popular injectable for fuller lips. But what’s the difference between the Lip Flip and fillers? While fillers such as Restylane®️ and Juvederm®️ add volume, the Lip Flip instead uses Botox®️ or Dysport®️ to relax the orbicularis muscle in the top lip, near the cupid’s bow and corners of the mouth, which in turn causes the upper lip to ‘flip’ slightly upward, giving the illusion of a fuller lip without actually changing the size. “If you’re looking for an alternative to lip filler, this is it,” says Dr Alexandrides. “It reveals more of the lip’s surface, is more cost-effective, has minimal risks and can also help conceal more of your gums.”

The treatment: EmSculpt Neo

Where to get it: The Clinic by Dr Maryam Zamani

Loved by Hollywood’s finest, world-class athletes and sportsmen, the latest innovation from EmSculpt Neo (the new and improved EmSculpt) is a real game-changer: it’s the only FDA-cleared non-invasive body shaping device that eliminates fat and builds body muscle in a short procedure with no downtime. “Combining radiofrequency with high intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) creates supramaximal muscle contractions that activate more muscle fibres than you can achieve in normal exercise,” explains Dr Zamani. Crazy, right? But how does it work? “The combination of HIFEM and radiofrequency induces contractions, so there’s no time for the muscle to relax, triggering a response by burning fat and building more muscle,” Zamani continues. This brilliant body-boosting treatment creates 24,000 muscle contractions in 30 minutes over four treatments, with clinically-proven results that show a 30% fat reduction and up to 25% increase in muscle mass.
