London Valentine’s Day specials

Celebrate love with a special dinner, hamper, breakfast or flowers this 14th February.

Words by Keven Amfo

There are a couple of things we’re all definitely in need of right now – one is an excuse to celebrate, and two is a bit of extra love. Whether your Valentine is a close friend, child, family member or partner, on 14th February, we encourage you to embrace the sentiment of love, in all its iterations, and use it as a reason to make merry.

Below are some of the meals and gifts we’ll be indulging in, together at home or virtually. Send to yourself, a friend, a partner, mum or dad – we need all types of love in all its forms.

Sushi Samba Valentine’s Day

This meal for two has been designed to spotlight some of Sushi Samba’s favourite menu items. Still, it includes some special things too, such as an impressive Valentine’s sushi assortment, a bottle of champagne and their ‘Welcome To The Rainforest’ dessert – a dramatic and delicious chocolate-based treat.

Top Cuvée Valentines Day Dinner

Top Cuvée Valentine’s Day Dinner

Including thoughtful details such as a candle (bespoke in collaboration with Earl of East), Top Cuvée’s Valentine’s celebration consists of a three-course meal, with a sourdough baguette and bottle of wine. The main course is a perfect Beef or Celeriac Wellington; don’t hold back – make sure to add the cheese plate and Negroni as well.

Sage

Sage Flowers

One of our favourite London florists, Sage, is known for their unique, sculptural arrangements. For Valentine’s, the gorgeous florals can be complemented by Costèllo + Hellerstein’s chocolate truffles; if something stronger is in order, choose from a bottle of wine or Bodega Rita’s hibiscus margarita pouch.

Selfridges

Selfridges Champagne Diptyque Gift Box

If you’re sending a gift to a loved one, this is a great option. Featuring perfect-for-now items to pamper, including champagne, chocolates, a candle, body oil and cashmere socks, it’s basically like a big hug and spa day rolled into one. A welcome respite to the remaining February nights, we’re even thinking of gifting one to ourselves.

Spring Breakfast in Bed 2

Spring Breakfast in Bed

Forgo dinner, and get the day off to a great start with breakfast instead. Spring is delivering a thoughtful box of breakfast treats, including housemade yoghurt and pastries, along with a bottle of champagne and beautiful dried floral arrangement. Enjoy, in bed, and linger – an extra bit of relaxation is well-deserved.

Love Chinois

Park Chinois: Love Chinois

Some special touches (signature goldfish chopstick holders, pre-bottled cocktails) make Park Chinois’ Valentine’s offering more than just dinner. The three-course sharing menu features a Dim Sum starter and two desserts; add 15 Balthazar roses, courtesy of FLOWERBX, to add some extra romance to the evening.

Greta in Flowers Dried Arrangement

Greta in Flowers Dried Arrangement

If you want to gift a floral arrangement that might last a bit longer, dried flowers are a lovely option. London florist Greta In Flowers creates each arrangement herself, using a selection of pink and peach tonal flowers that will last up to three years – longer than a traditional bouquet of roses, an enduring emblem of love.

Fortnum Mason

Fortnum & Mason Lockdown Lovers’ Hamper

This decadent hamper from Fortnum & Mason includes everything you might need for a romantic and indulgent day – and then some. Two bottles of wine, a selection of snacks, chocolates, jelly and more; this hamper is the gift that keeps on giving beyond the 14th.

Dinner Ladies

Dinner Ladies

Dinner Ladies have helped keep us fed throughout long lockdown days; their selection of prepared meals is a lifesaver when cooking isn’t an option. Their Valentine’s Menu is no different; five courses include celebratory touchpoint such as lobster and white chocolate-covered strawberries. Three wines are available for pairing, too.
