Albert's private members' club

We explore the new members' club seeking to return old-world glamour to Mayfair.

Unlike the late 19th century when London boasted over 400 private members' clubs, today finding an exclusive sanctuary in the capital can prove quite challenging. However, with the launch of Albert's Old Brompton Road those seeking to experience old world glamour surrounded by like-minded individuals have a ready solution.

Providing an in-demand alternative to its Mayfair rivals, Albert's aims to bring back the charm for which the Royal Borough was once famed. Prince Albert's legacy provides the key inspiration here with his original love letters to Queen Victoria on display and a whisky from both the year of Albert's birth and death (1819-1861) available at the bar. Albert's interior is littered with eccentric British hallmarks which offer a contemporary yet classic design, from the mahogany clad whisky and martini bar to the Balmoral tartan staircase and vibrant wallpapers by Colefax and Fowler. A traditional and indulgent menu created by renowned fine-dining chef Alessio Piras perfectly complements the surroundings and can be enjoyed in Albert's elegant private dining room. With an established committee (including Quintessentially Founder Ben Elliot), uniting the worlds of fashion, film and food , vistors can expect to rub shoulders with the who's who of London's social scene.

With over 60 years' of experience working on London's nightclub scene founders Jake Parkinson-Smith, Carlo Carello, Piers Adam and Fraser Carruthers have all the faculties to make Albert's London's most memorable dinner and dance experience. Expect live performances from internationally renowned artist's alongside world famous DJs to dance the night away...
