Starting from 3pm, you can enjoy the finest Ceylon tea accompanied by scones, whipped cream, and homemade jam. Have it served on the balcony or library verandah overlooking Galle Fort. This relaxing oasis is the perfect escape from the heat, and a marvelous place to sit and watch the world go by.

You caught us. The Fortress is not exactly in Galle, but with its award-wining high tea menu, we think its worth the short drive. This secluded spot is perfect if you are looking to escape the busyness of Galle and unwind by the ocean. The serene venue serves a delectable array of Sri Lankan teas accompanied with their homemade cakes.
