Bulgari Spa

171 Knightsbridge SW7 1DW

Exclusive to the Bulgari Spa London, the Celestial Black Diamond Facial with Radio Frequency (120 minutes, £550) combines their most potent ingredients with medical-grade radiofrequency to deliver instantly visible tightening and firming, as well as stimulating long-term collagen production and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. It will also drain the skin of toxins—meaning it’s a perfect post-holiday solution. This treatment provides surgical results without recovery time.

Akasha Spa

50 Regent Street W1B 5AS

This beautiful spa marries Eastern and Western traditions for a unique approach to beauty and wellness. Their signature treatment, The Four Elements (120 minutes, £240), is a therapeutic journey for the entire body. Beginning with Water, a therapeutic treatment is performed whilst submerged in warm water. Next, Earth, is a soothing foot massage, followed by Fire, a restorative back massage with hot stones. Finally, Air, is a tension relieving scalp massage. To make the most of your experience, add on a Valmont facial.

Bamford Haybarn Spa

The Berkeley, Wilton Place SW1X 7RL

Offering a holistic approach to their treatments, the therapists at The Berkeley’s Spa impart a bit of the relaxing countryside into their London location. The Morning Energiser Treatment is perfect for the post-holiday period (150 minutes, £265). First, the Bamford Deep Tissue Massage relieves aches and pains, and next, the Eye Wonder treatment will lift, awaken and rejuvenate the eye area. Finish with a manicure and pedicure, and breakfast with a smoothie. If you don’t have to run out, a half-day spa membership is included with the treatment package.

Aire Ancient Baths

88 Franklin Sreet, NYC 10013

Although it may seem counter-intuitive, the Aire Wine Bath Experience (180 minutes, $575 for two people) is relaxing and full of antioxidants and purification properties. In addition to receiving access to the Ancient Thermal Bath circuit, the Laconicum (steam room with aromatherapy) and the Flotarium (saltwater bath), guests will be able to submerge in Tempranillo grapes from the Ribera del Duero in an antique Venetian well, for 30 minutes. During the soak, you’ll receive a craniofacial massage, and upon emerging an hour-long massage with grapeseed oil.

Tomoko Spa

141 S Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212

This hidden spa, in the centre of Beverly Hills, is like being teleported to Japan. The serene space offers limited but excellent treatments—for a unique form of relaxation, try Bigan. The ‘head and face-shaping’ therapy treats face and scalp muscles, using fingers as well as instruments to stimulate acupuncture points. The profoundly relaxing treatment creates an uplifting effect that promotes anti-ageing and diminishes dark spots and scars, imparting an immediate lift and bright glow on the recipients.

The Standard Spa

Offering a wide range of treatments, alongside The Standard Center for Integrated Living—featuring lectures and workshops from world-renowned leaders in health and spirituality—plus an onsite shop, it is a one-stop-shop for complete rejuvenation. We love the Urban Warrior Ritual to combat the stresses of life effectively; it’s a way to begin the new year with a fresh start. The two-hour therapy includes a hammam, steam, and sauna; followed by a nourishing body mask with anti-inflammatory properties to help remove toxins and more. Finally, you’ll have a 90-minute Ayurvedic massage targeting muscle and joint stiffness and pain, emerging anew and ready to tackle 2020.
