Whilst 2019 has been great in many ways; we’re always looking ahead. As the year winds to a close, we are beginning to think about where we’d like to go in 2020—so we’ve asked Quintessentially Travel to round up their list of highly anticipated luxury openings from around the globe in the new year.

Aman New York

Aman New York

Aman opens their first New York property in the beautiful Crown Building, on 57th and Fifth, in 2020. The 83-room property will also be the first to host residences, all within the aesthetic and premise characteristic of Aman—creating serenity amongst the bustle of the surroundings. The luxe eating and drinking options will include a subterranean Jazz Bar, a Wine Library, a wraparound terrace overlooking Central Park, and a Japanese as well as an Italian restaurant. The residents will enjoy access to the plentiful hotel amenities—including an outdoor infinity pool—and a new iteration of their celebrated spa.

Alongside signature attention to service, expect a world-class spa and terraced rooms with fireplaces and uninterrupted views. Additionally, their residences—complete with a local host—will make you feel like you’re home. A well-curated selection of experiences includes hands-on winemaking, tastings, and biking trips through wine country. A smart range of dining options includes a to-go market with local products, and Truss, a farm-to-table experience that is excellent and ideal for enjoying alongside the excellent wines of the region.

Mandarinorientalsaigon

Mandarin Oriental Saigon

This beautiful new property, set within a newly-renovated commercial building in central Ho Chi Minh City, will feature 227 guest rooms and six restaurants. Adjacent to the Saigon Opera House, the hotel will provide convenient access to cultural happenings with its central location. Expect a serene and sophisticated space, complete with a spa and outdoor swimming pool. The building will feature luxury shopping on lower floors and is geared toward becoming a new commercial hub.

One amp

One&Only Portonovi

Opening in Spring 2020, this Montenegro resort is ideally located between the mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The secluded property features Venetian-style architecture and has a private beach as well as six pools. Many onsite restaurants mean diverse food and beverage offerings; expect everything from local food to Italian from Giorgio Locatelli to poolside Asian fusion. The holistic spa was created in partnership with Chenot and features a blend of Western technology and Chinese medicine. Exploratory trips in the surrounding region—as well as a kid’s club—mean you can truly make the most of your stay.
