Berenjak
27 Romilly Street W1D 5ALInspired by the rustic hole-in-the-wall eateries of Tehran, this Persian restaurant reinterprets signature dishes using seasonal British produce. Meant to be shared, the dishes are full of flavour and spice. The cosy, dimly lit space features an open kitchen, exposed brick walls, and a mosaic floor. Go with some friends, and order the Feast Menu, which features an array of appetizers served family-style followed by a selection of entrees.
Two Lights
28 Kingsland Road E2 8DAThis small restaurant in Shoreditch comes courtesy of celebrated American chef, Chase Lovecky, head chef at The Clove Club. His first solo project focuses on modern American cuisine, which means dishes such as a flatbread with 'mussels and brussels' and a sardine Katsu sandwich with homemade bread. The white brick interiors are welcoming and cool, and the wine selection is primarily European from small producers, with some American varietals as well.
Daffodil Mulligan
70-74 City Road EC1Y 2BJThe new restaurant from celebrated chef Richard Corrigan has many highlights, but if you come for one thing—maybe it should be a Guinness. There is a special, larger pipe installed, so it's served precisely the same as it is in Ireland, and Mulligan's has a downstairs pub where you can relax and enjoy. Alongside the Guinness, expect fresh fruit and veg from Corrigan's personal farm in Ireland, easy comfort food, and soda bread that is baked fresh daily.

From Emily Roux, the daughter of Michel Roux Jr of Le Gavroche, this handsome restaurant serves a menu uniquely divided into categories such as 'Curious' and 'Delicate.' Serving as a destination whilst still catering to the neighbours, the beautiful environs are a lovely for enjoying a leisurely dinner—or lunch, during which they serve a spectacular £39 tasting menu.
Suzi Tros
18 Hillgate Street W8 7SRThis jewel box Greek restaurant in Notting Hill comes from the husband and wife team behind Mazi, just down the road. Featuring a seasonal menu of shareable small plates, and a strictly Greek wine and beer menu, the minimalist space is accessible but delicious. Enjoy dishes such as fluffy homemade bread with a bit of char, salt-baked carrots, and whole grilled calamari, before retreating to the dark downstairs cocktail bar, excellent for sharing a bottle of Ouzo.
